Celebrating my 2nd birthday with the people that I love!

I'm a lucky boy, I got to have another birthday party on Sunday.

Here I am playing with a boat my Uncle Simon got me for my birthday. It came with a helicopter with spinning propellers too ! My Uncle Simon knows exactly what I love - Boats , Helicopters & Trains!!
Annie & Me having lunch together - as per usual! Annie helped me open some of my presents as I was too busy playing with all my new toys! Annie's mum sewed the bib she has on - Mummy likes it so much she wants one too!

It was such a nice day yesterday we played in the back garden!

Granny, Grandad & Aunty Amanda enjoying the sunshine and being entertained by Annie & I - of course!!

Goong Goong, Great Grandad, Kau Moe & Aunty Christine chatting away.

Uncle Andy, Uncle Simon, Kau Fu, Nanna, Por Por (behind Nanna), Annie, Ah Yee, Yee Joong & Daddy.

Annie & I like to hit stuff with anything stick like! We are so alike - people think we are twins! We are practically!

Getting ready for the best part of the day - blowing out my candles!
This year Mummy bought me a cake from the local cake shop - it had lots of lollies on it!!

My Yee Joong - flew here on a plane from Perth to be here for my Ah Yee's birthday which is a day after mine and was able to stay long enough to come to my birthday too! We even managed to dress exactly alike too!!
The day before my party Uncle Simon & Daddy went fishing out on the boat. They caught lots and lots of fish that afternoon. We had flathead fillets in beerbatter for dinner that night! Yum. I got to play in the boat with Annie during my party - and I got to use Daddy's fishing rod! Annie & I got upset when we had to get out, we were having too much fun!

Eating a lollie from my birthday cake.
It's my birthday so I indulged; I had chocolate and cake at the same time!!

Now that my birthday celebrations are done we can now relax and wait for Baby to arrive...when?? Soon we hope!!! I am looking forward to meet him or her!!!

My obsession!

My favourite DVD in the world! (For those who are not fishermen/women, Squidges are soft plastic bait for catching fish like Bream & Flathead)

In my boat that I just love to borrow from the toy library and the fishing rod & tackle box too! I have lots and lots of fishing rods - all shapes and sizes! But most of all I like my Daddy's real fishing rods - they are nice and shiny! I am all set for a good fishing trip!

I AM 2!

Happy Birthday to ME!!

Mummy made me mini chocolate cupcakes. I invited my friends from Mother's Group yesterday for morning tea. Everyone came which was great becuase we haven't see each other in so long - we are busy with new babies and pregnant Mummies and it can be a bit hard sometimes to catch up!
I couldn't wait to blow out my candles, I had to wait until all my friends arrived, I was getting very impatient!

Our Mothers Group is getting bigger and bigger - we will need to find a playgroup soon to fit us all in, our houses are getting too small for us to run about! There were a few accidents and tears - which is very normal for our age group!
In the background you can just see baby Harry with his mum Kim, he is the 2nd born of the 2nd round of babies in our group. Mummy's baby is next and then Sarah's baby is following very close behind - we shall see how arrives first as Mummy's baby hasn't arrived yet!!
This is baby Thomas with his mum Stacey and his big brother Will. Thomas is the first born of the 2nd round of babies in our group.
Zach.

Singing Happy Birthday to me! - I got all embarrassed and didn't know what to do so I screamed!! But I finally got to blow out my candles after a false start in the beginning - I blew them out the first time before anyone had a chance to sing Happy Birthday, so Mummy had to light them again!

Walking in Daddy's shoe!

Excuse my nakedness - I just had a bath and I like to do the rounds of the house before I put my clothes on!

JOKER!

Daddy took these pictures of me - he says I look like the Joker out of Batman!
Don't worry its not red cordial - its my favourite cockail of freshly squeezed apple, orange, carrot & of course BEETROOT juice! Mmmmmmmmmmmm!

Playing in my room.

I have new carpet and freshly painted walls in my room now! All I need is some new funiture to finish decorate my room! We will get there - Mummy & Daddy are very busy at the moment and the baby is coming any day now!!

Casting & Reeling...

Mummy taught me how to use a proper fishing rod. I know to flip over the line guard to let the line free and then flip it back again to wind up the rod! All I need now is for Daddy to take me fishing for some real fish!!

No longer a baby!

I am such a good swimmer. Daddy and my swimming instructor Caroline thinks so too. They said I am ready to go into the older class, because the Baby classes were getting too easy for me. In this older class I don't need Daddy to come into the pool with me anymore. Daddy now keeps dry and watches me from the benches. Daddy says he misses coming into the pool with me but Mummy says that Daddy will be in the pool again when my baby brother/sister is born and is ready for it's swimming lessons. Daddy could only get short footage of my swimming lesson as the lens on the camera gets all foggy from the heated swimming pool. (If you are finding it hard to see me, I am on the right side of Caroline.)

Bees!

I think Ants are Bees... when I see a Fly I think it's a Bee too! I figure my word for ALL insects at the moment is 'Bees', until I learn how to say other insect names.

At Great Grandad's.

Today I spent half the day with Nanna while Mummy had a massage. She took me to the park and we had morning tea together. Then we went to visit Great Grandad and bought some lunch for everyone to have.
This morning when I got dressed Daddy says I looked like a nerdy school boy in this outfit! Do I? Mummy thinks I look smart. Nanna bought the blue vest for me. So I thought I should show it off. Great Grandad lives in the best place because he has the trains run right passed his lounge room window! I can hear them a mile a way and run up to the window to catch a glimpse of the trains that go by!
Great Grandad had a new digital flat screen TV delivered today too. He is showing me the remote control and is asking me how to use it - because I know how to use one!
Watching the TV installer man install Great Grandad's new TV. It has Tele-text which is perfect for Great Grandad because he is deaf and uses a hearing aid.

Packing time!

I am helping Mummy pack her bag for when she goes into hospital soon. I am also helping Mummy pack nappies and clothes for my new baby brother or sister too.
Me modelling one of my newborn outfits that I surprisingly used to fit into. Look at how tiny I was back then!
I like to lift up Mummy's top and pat her big round tummy and say 'baby'. I give the baby a kiss and a hug too! It's going to be here very soon! Mummy & Daddy are very worried that the baby will arrive before our house renovations are finished - It's taken a lot longer than what was planned. They are hoping that the baby doesn't do what I did; - arrive 2 and half weeks early!

Toys from the Toy Library.

On Tuesday, Mummy & I were on Toy Library duty. That means we have to be there to help set up, pack up and count toys when people come to return their borrowed toys.

This week I borrowed this great rocking whale which can ride 2 people on it. I like to ask people to ride on the back of the whale with me. I also borrowed a box full of magnetic balls and rods. They are fun to put together and take apart.

Some very special photos of me.

One of the earliest photos of me - Daddy has a tear in his eye... he was very, very happy to meet me for the first time.

A happy chubby me with Mummy. I think I am about 3 or 4 months old!

Me in my Mountain Buggy in Fremantle, Perth WA - at just 6 months old!
Posing for the camera and showing off my cot at Por Por & Goong Goong's place!

Por Por says that I look just like my Mummy when she was a baby. She has a photos of Mummy looking like this one of me playing with the toy apple.

Por Por & me, looks like my top front teeth have just appeared!

Lounging in my Por Por & Goong Goong's hammock.

On holidays in Mallacoota earlier this year.
Mummy found all these special photos on my Por Por & Goong Goong's camera and she thought it would be nice to share them with everyone!
Mummy & Daddy can't believe I am going to turn 2 soon!

Riding the Wiggles boat.

Riding Thomas the Tank Engine.

A few weeks ago, my Goong Goong & Por Por took me to a shopping centre. Thomas the Tank Engine was there and I had a ride! I got a special Thomas the Tank Engine ticket that I kept looking at and a Thomas stamp on my hand.

Addicted to Fishing!

My obsession is to watch my Daddy's fishing DVDs whilst practicing my casting and reeling in the fish. My Goong Goong let me use one of his old fishing rods to play with. I even have a fishing rod at my Grandad & Granny's place for when I go there to play.

Wednesdays with Grandad & Gran.

Every Wednesday Mummy drives me to Grandad & Gran's place in Mitcham so I can spend the day with them & my cousin Annie. At the end of the day, my Daddy comes and picks me up on his way home from work.
Here are some photos that my Grandad took of us! I have lots and lots of fun! I love to play with Annie too! We like to copy each other and I have taught her how to say 'O-oh'!

Last Wednesday Gran & Grandad took us on the train into the city!

Gran is smart, she has a twin stroller for us - she's pretty clever to look after two toddlers at the same time!
